A security deposit for a bin site with several bins is approximately $10,000. The security deposit is determined primarily by the number of sites and the number of bins.
The base price for the 2015 crop is $0.15 per bushel (or equivalent rate for other units) of grain delivered.
The per unit fee will adjust from time to time. It will be pegged before each crop season. Changes will not be made retroactively. Changes in food safety regulations and consumer demands will drive the current level of purity higher. This will be reflected in either a premium for higher purity or an increase in discounts for contaminants and low quality. Pricing may develop differently in different markets.
TGM understands that a client will cancel its service if its fees are higher than the benefits received i.e. more profit. Once a client has mastered the use of the TGM System and cooperates with good practices in general, TGM can Certify the aeration history and traceability to grain buyers. This Certification is not automatically available because it is dependent on complimentary practices of each operation that further quality and purity.
In the future the fee may be based on a ratio of the price premium (or freedom from discounts) commanded by high purity grain which will align the interests of growers and TGM.
