The TGM System is available under a fee based license. The TGM System is not available for purchase because much of the value gain possible is dependent upon connectivity with the networked platform. This connectivity includes fresh data from the network throughout the day regarding approaching weather fronts and co-management assistance to adjust accordingly.
TGM provides the necessary hardware (devices) on consignment. These devices are needed to make Networked Grain Aeration work at a storage site. A refundable security deposit is required to receive this hardware and a TGM License is required to make the hardware work.
The software, firmware, network access, applications, analytics and support to power the hardware are provided under license until cancelation by either party according to the Terms of the License. Upon cancelation and return of undamaged hardware the security deposit will be refunded.
The License Agreement accommodates the addition of bins, the removal of bins, renting of bins, transference of ownership, partnerships, joint landlord/tenant relationships. etc.
The physical components (hardware — devices) of the TGM System will be consigned after approval of an application and payment of a security deposit. Approval includes credit worthiness but is also dependent on the infrastructure, expertise of operators, location and interest in improving current practices. Cooperation with the TGM initiative to improve the quality and safeness of grain and grain based ingredients is a further criteria. This portends higher prices for delivered grain due to higher purity, verification of storage history and traceability.
The license fee is calculated on a unit basis (e.g. per bushel, CWT, ton, pound) on the grain that is sold. This allocates the risk of investment to TGM to mitigate costs when low crop yield or crop failure reduce revenue.
