SiteLink

SiteLink Front
The SiteLink is made with a long lived stainless steel shell. It has a combination antennae on top for remote connection, local connections and GPS information.

The TGM System uses a SiteLink at each grain storage location that has one or more bins. The SiteLink is an advanced weather station and communications hub. It manages the aeration fans at that site through a Bintel that is installed on each bin. While the operator is able to control all operations at any time, a virtual co-manager on the TGM Network reduces manual tasks including settings to a minimum. Operator input consists of entering Targets (goals, desired outcomes) and the co-manager will take care of the ongoing adjustments brought about by weather and other factors that may change.

The SiteLink is connected to the TGM Network that provides many services for good grain preservation and added value. The default connectivity is cellular wireless. It also provides local Wi-Fi connectivity to an iPAC™ App that runs on most smart devices for convenient operator oversight. The SiteLink has separate channels to connect to each Bintel.

SiteLink Rear
The rear of the SiteLink has louvers to exhaust air. There are two sets of sensors within quad shielded aspirators that enable operation in full sunlight. The double set of sensors are automatically cycled to mitigate the influence from dew and frost when conditions warrant.

The iPAC App can connect from anywhere in the world with Internet connectivity when not near a SiteLink to have a snapshot of each bin site, individual bins at that site and to make changes if needed. This connectivity is channeled through the TGM Data Center so each of your bin locations maintains high levels of security and privacy.

A SiteLink has a GPS receiver to pinpoint its location and also to synchronize the time for data collection including the local weather data

SiteLink’s support electricity saving methods including time of day lockouts and smart load qeueing. Smart load qeueing can accommodate local, substation, regional and national grid load management initiatives that can reduce costs and demand. See Smart Grid.

INSTALLATION

The SiteLink is an advanced weather station so its location is important.

Ideally a SiteLink will be installed over mown grass on its included mounting pole which provides for intake of ambient (outside) air four feet above ground level. It should not be installed over asphalt or surfaces that will impede measuring ambient conditions as best possible. It is designed to be installed in direct sunlight. While most locations will have some shade from surrounding trees or buildings, it is imperative to locate a SiteLink away from influences such as a high heat dryer. The goal is to achieve the closest measurement possible of reality so outcomes are better.

If an area near a bin site is not ideal and no mown grass area is available, then its location should be next best. This may include periodic cutting of weeds or other growth that can influence weather readings to achieve optimal outcomes.
